Mazel tov to Justin’s sister & fellow QC alumni Samantha & Morris Adler on the birth of a daughter on the same day! And mazel tov to Elaine Diller — two grandchildren on the same day, wow!

Did you know that if a coin falls out of your pocket and a poor person picks it up, you are rewarded for your act of tzedakah (charity)?

Yup, this concept is echoed in this week’s Torah portion, Ki Teitzei, which states, “When you reap your harvest… and forget a sheaf… you must not go back to take it. It must be left for the convert, the orphan, and the widow, in order that G-d bless you in all that you do” (Deut. 24:19).

How can we be rewarded for something we didn’t even know we did?

Ultimately, we all have a deep desire to do what is right. Thus, even if we do a mitzvah unintentionally, it is actually a result of our inner desire to do so.

Imagine what happens when we do a mitzvah or act of kindness intentionally!

Shabbat Shalom,
Shaul
