GRANT UPDATE:
- NSGP – Urban Area (NSGP-UA) – $31,083,641 is being made available in New York State to support nonprofit organizations that are located within the New York City urban area. Eligible organizations with sites located in the NYC urban area which includes: the five boroughs in New York City, Nassau County, Suffolk County and Westchester County are eligible to apply to NSGP-UA.
- NSGP – State (NSGP-S) – $3,990,000 is being made available in New York State to support nonprofit organizations that are located outside of the New York City urban area. Such organizations are eligible to apply to NSGP-S.
If your nonprofit site is physically located within New York City, Nassau County, Suffolk County or Westchester County, then you may apply to NSGP-UA. If your nonprofit site is not physically located within New York City, Nassau, Suffolk or Westchester Counties, then you may apply to NSGP-S.
Each nonprofit organization may apply for up to $200,000 per site. Nonprofits with multiple sites may apply for additional sites at up to $200,000 per site for a maximum of three (3) sites located within the NSGP-UA area and three (3) sites located within the NSGP-S area, for a maximum of six (6) sites total, not to exceed a grand total of $600,000 per organization. A nonprofit organization with locations in multiple states may apply for up to these application limits within each state.

New York State Releases FY 2026 SCAHC Grant RFA
The New York State Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) has officially released the Request for Applications (RFA) for the FY 2026 Securing Communities Against Hate Crimes (SCAHC) Grant Program.
Application Deadline
Wednesday, July 8, 2026 — 12:00 PM (Noon)
Applications must be submitted electronically through the DCJS Grants Management System (GMS). Only applications submitted through the online GMS portal will be considered.
